Fixed-fee. Transparent. No surprises.
Northhaven works on a fixed-fee basis disclosed in writing before any engagement. Pricing depends on the pathway and complexity. We share full pricing during the discovery call.
Three tiers. One fixed quote per file.
Most individual applicants engage at the Standard tier. Concierge is for family bundles, government-contracted-stream priority placements, and multi-stage pathways.

Most candidates approaching an immigration consultancy want to know two things up front: what does this cost, and what is included. We answer both honestly, with one structural note: we quote pricing during the discovery call, after we have understood the candidate's situation. This is a deliberate choice. Pricing accurately requires us to know which pathway, which stream, which employer side, and which family situation we are working with. Quoting before we know is either generic (and so usually wrong) or aggressive (and so usually wrong in the other direction).
Why Fixed-Fee, Not Hourly
Hourly pricing punishes the client for the consultant's inefficiency. It also creates the wrong incentives — to spend more time on a file rather than to engineer it correctly the first time. Northhaven runs on fixed fees per engagement. Once the file is scoped at the discovery call, the fee is set in writing and does not change unless the scope changes (for example, a candidate adds a spouse or dependents partway through, or shifts from work permit to PR pathway).
What is Included
For Standard and Concierge engagements, the fixed professional fee covers:
- Discovery and intake. Initial assessment, eligibility audit, pathway selection.
- Strategy memo. Written file plan including stream selection, NOC mapping, document checklist, and timeline.
- Document preparation. Drafting, review, and assembly of all forms and supporting documentation.
- Application filing. Submission to ESDC, IRCC, and provincial authorities as applicable.
- Government liaison. Responses to officer questions, procedural fairness letters, and additional requests.
- Post-arrival support window. 30 days (Standard) or 90 days (Concierge) of follow-up support after landing — port-of-entry questions, settlement basics, status confirmation.
What is Not Included
Third-party costs are passed through at cost or paid directly by the client to the third party. These are universal to every Canadian immigration file regardless of consultant:
- Government fees. ESDC LMIA fee (CAD 1,000 per position), IRCC work permit fees, biometrics fees, IRCC PR application fees, and provincial PNP fees. Government fees are non-refundable.
- Translation. Certified translation of foreign-language documents.
- Educational credential assessment. WES, ICAS, IQAS, or designated assessor fees.
- Language tests. IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, TCF.
- Medical examinations. Panel physician fees.
- Police certificates. Issued by the relevant national or regional authority.
- Courier and notarization where required.
We do not mark these up. We will, however, coordinate them — we maintain relationships with credential evaluators, translators, and panel physicians and will introduce clients where helpful.
Tier Structure
Three tiers map roughly to engagement scope.
Discovery
A free 15-minute consultation. Eligibility check and pathway recommendation. No obligation. The right starting point for almost everyone.
Standard
Full LMIA-led work permit OR full Express Entry engagement. Fixed fee, disclosed at the close of the discovery call. Includes the inclusions listed above and a 30-day post-arrival support window. This is the default tier for individual applicants.
Concierge
Premium engagement for candidates pursuing government-contracted-stream priority placement, family bundle filings (spouse and dependents in one engagement), or multi-stage pathways (work permit through to PR). Includes a dedicated case manager, 90-day post-arrival support, and settlement coordination.
For per-tier feature lists, see the pricing tier comparison on the pricing page itself. CTAs route to the discovery call for Discovery and Concierge, and to the Eligibility Quiz for Standard (because Standard candidates typically benefit from a quiz screen first to confirm pathway fit).
Refund Policy
Professional fees are partially refundable up to the point of work performed, in line with CICC's Code of Professional Conduct. Specifically: if an engagement is terminated before significant work has been performed, fees are refunded pro rata. Government fees, once paid, are not refundable by the government and so cannot be refunded by Northhaven. Full terms are set out in the engagement letter signed at the start of the file.
What to do next
The Eligibility Quiz is the lowest-friction way to find out which tier fits. For pricing on a specific case, contact us for a 15-minute discovery call. We will give you a quote in the same call.
